Application
Anti-Bile salt-activated lipase Antibody | ABS1022 is an antibody against Bile salt-activated lipase Antibody for use in Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot detected Bile salt-activated lipase in HEK293T cells (Mark Lowe, University of Pittsburgh).
General description
Bile salt-activated lipase (BAL) is a secreted digestive enzyme produced by the pancreas that works in concert with pancreatic lipase and Colipase to allow the digestion and use of dietary triglycerides. BAL is also expressed in breast tissues and, interestingly, in eosinophils. BAL also interacts with galectin-10 (Charcot-Leyden Crystal), a member of the Galectin family involved in T cell proliferation and lysophospholipase inhibition activity and is thought to play a role in eosinophil development as well.
Immunogen
Corresponding to human Bile salt-activated lipase.
Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to lot specific datasheet.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blotting in mouse pancreas tissue lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this antibody detected Bile salt-activated lipase in 10 µg of mouse pancreas tissue lysate.
Target description
~70, 90 and 110 kDa observed. Multiple bands can be observed due to different levels of glycosylation (Swan, J.S., et al. (1992). Biochem J. 283:119-122).
